Scrying the Tides
This work emerged from the depths, rising through schools of silversides, flowing through pine pollen marsh and branching into tributaries across pebbly flats. While in the flow, light hits the water just so, shattering illusion into infinite sparkles of light. Scrying the Tides is seeing the moment that is all moments, when it becomes clear and true that we are all interconnected and divine.

To the Light
There are times when the cohesion of our world shatters and we are forced to look at everything we thought we knew through a brand new lens. Linear timelines are actually infinite spirals. Not only are we surrounded by all that is, it is flowing through us and from us and then we discover that, in fact, we are all divine.

Alchemy
Grimm’s 2021 Summer show, Alchemy, explores the magical process of transformation. Old ways are dissolving, and those things which were stuck are being wrenched free. Pearls, glass, and bone are dredged from the depths to the surface where they are gathered and transmuted. Grimm created these works with the conviction that this is the time to dive in, move through and actualize potential.

Shimmer
Shells, the bones of the sea, are still my muse though I am increasingly captivated by water, and the play of light across its surface. The shimmer and sparkle stirs me beyond representation, and I am plunging into the abstract. I am seeking that which lives inside the dunes and under the sea, where reflections have substance and substance is sheer.

Swim
Swim is about diving in, being present and noticing through paint. Water, as a metaphor for life, swirls around us as the tide and currents shift. Whether the details are murky or crisp the feelings of place and self are true.
